Dr. Tapia specializes in the estimation of economic damages in litigation including personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and employment cases. In addition to teaching economics, Dr. Tapia has worked as an economic analyst and consultant since 2001 providing economic analyses for trial and mediation, as well as for strategic and consulting purposes. She has provided deposition and trial testimony in both federal and state cases.
With over ten years’ experience in IT Systems Administration, large-scale data center operations, and overall IT project management, Marco is the Director of Operations for NW Economics and is in charge of data security and administering computer network systems.
Marco is also a former US Navy Submariner and is a native of Bend, Oregon. In his free time he enjoys sailing, diving, and is a part-time beekeeper.
Katherine was born and raised in Seattle and is a proud University of Washington Husky, graduating from the Foster School of Business. Working as a Research Analyst with NW Economics, she combines her skills in thoughtful problem-solving, accurate analysis, and clear communication.
In her spare time, Katherine enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and cheering on Seattle's sports teams.
